Christmas Tree Festival 2020, 2021 and 2022

Christmas Tree Festival 2020 and 2021

Christmas 2020 was really like no other. Many local events were cancelled and it was not quite as easy to get into The Christmas Spirit. My local Church offered relief, escapism and some much-needed joy in holding a Christmas Tree Festival. An event where trees were provided and local businesses made a donation and decorated the trees to promotes their services. It was a wonderful event which proved extremely popular with the locals of Cannington. I felt very proud and privileged to be a part of the event and help raise money for St Mary’s Church and the Cannington Community.

It was my absolute pleasure to be a part of St Mary’s Church Christmas Tree Festival again in 2021. All the local groups/participants were so creative and it was really fun to watch the Church come to life with lots of different themes. My tree this year was focused on all the treatments I offer in the form of a Christmas Countdown. All other decorations were either handmade or recycled from old Christmas Cards. This year the festival raised over £350.00 for our local Cannington Church and Community.

2022 gave me the opportunity to participate in two Christmas Tree Festivals; Cannington and West Huntspill. Located not far from both my bases, West Huntspill Church is home to ‘The Huntspill Hub’. Officially opened in December 2022, this Community Space allows local groups to meet as well as a café for locals to socialise. Donations from the Festival went straight into the Hub to help fund its amazing work. It was an honour to be a part of it and I really recommend visiting The Huntspill Hub at St Peter and All Hallows Church, West Huntspill. It was also a privilege to again be a part of the Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary’s Church in Cannington.
