My name is Tamara Smyth and I am the founder of CREATING HARMONY HOLISTIC THERAPIES. I am a qualified Holistic and Beauty Therapist and Reiki Master, who has 5.5 years’ experience in the Industry, working at both Rookery Manor Spa and Industry Leading, Multi – Award Winning Salon, The Barn in Loxton.
My motivation, passion and love for Beauty and Holistic Therapy comes from my desire to help others and make the world a little less stressful, even if it is just for an hour! The power of touch has amazing benefits and I pride myself on tailoring my treatments to each individual’s needs. This is where the inspiration for the name of the business comes from:
To treat a person’s physical and emotional wellbeing creates harmony. If I can achieve this for every client, I will be very happy!
I first qualified with a BTEC National Diploma Level Three in Beauty Therapy Sciences in 2010. I qualified with an overall Distinction Grade and was awarded Student of the Year for Beauty Therapy. I then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatrical Makeup and Costume at Worcester University, Graduating in 2013.
After working within the Beauty Industry for 3 years, I took some time away to Travel Solo around Australasia. Upon my return, I decided to return to education and complete a course that had always been of interest: Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies at Bridgwater College, completing in June 2019, passing with an overall Distinction grade.
During the course, my love for performing therapies was reignited. It led me to make the exciting decision to find an appropriate salon for myself and my new business. Blush Hair and Beauty were the perfect place for me to start and has allowed me to introduce and grow my business to where it is today.
Now two and a half years later, my business has grown beyond my imagining. I have now relocated to one permanent location: Cripps River Spa. A beautiful, tranquil, countryside setting and a wonderful base form my business. My pipeline dream is now my full-time career and I am so grateful to every single client who has supported me and my business along our journey…

As a therapist, I am both insured with and a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. Established in 1962, The FHT is the UK and Ireland’s largest professional association for therapists. The FHT has extremely high standards and only allows qualified therapists who meet their strict criteria to be members and have professional insurance with them.
